This event has been so much fun! A huge thank you to all of the ladies who participated and to all of our giveaway sponsors! If you are sharing these posts via social media, please be sure to use the hashtag #modestymatters. Thank you!

NOTE: Please remember to leave individual comments per entry.

Let's welcome my friend Lacey Lenentine to the blog! As the youth pastor's wife of Gospel Light Baptist Church, I get to see every once in a while when I am visiting my sister. Her modest modeling has always been an inspiration to me. And Lacey was one of the violinists in my wedding! Let's make her feel welcome!

Hello, everyone! My name is Lacey Lenentine, and I am 29 years old. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for seven years, and we have two children with another on the way:) Carter is three; Grant is one; and I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. Mark is an assistant pastor at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Rio Rancho, NM. We live a crazy and busy life, but it’s the best so fulfilling!
Modesty has always been a part of my life. When I was younger, my parents taught me the value of being modest in every area of the Christian life; and now, as an adult, wife, and mother, modesty is still so incredibly important to me. Modesty is defined as: 1. the quality of being modest; freedom from vanity, boastfulness, etc. 2. regard for decency of behavior, speech, dress, etc. Modesty, first and foremost, starts in the heart of each and every believer. We cannot let Jesus Christ shine through us if our lives are not reflecting the modesty that was His example. In my own life, I strive to let that modesty be seen through my dress, actions, and words. Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes I fail. I pray that I will always be an example of modesty to those around me saved and unsaved alike! I want to be an encouragement to fellow Christians, and a light to those who are searching.
To the ladies who are reading, know this being modest has absolutely NOTHING to do with being unfashionable. We totally can be modest without looking like we have no idea what decade it is! ;)
A few tips: 1. When shopping, search for *classic* shapes, silhouettes, patterns, and prints. These kinds of items will be in style for years instead of months. 2. Invest in a few great tshirts. These can easily be dressed up or down, depending on shoes and jewelry worn. I wear the same tshirts to a basketball game that I wear to church. 3. Don’t be afraid to shop at thrift stores. Many items can be tweaked just a little to look more modern.

And now a few words on her outfits!
Outfit #1 My awesome sister-in-law purchased this dress for me from Jane.com. It's super comfortable and easy! All I have to do is throw one piece on:) Nude pumps complete the look. Dress was $25, and shoes (Burlington) were $15.
Outfit #2 I recently bought this yellow floral skirt from Burlington, and I LOVE how flowing it is! I paired it with a plain white tshirt and a bright necklace. Add some wedges and done! Skirt was $20, tshirt a gift, wedges (Burlington) were $15, and necklace (Walmart) $5.
Outfit #3 Can you tell that I love florals yet? Haha:) I like dressing this floral pencil skirt up or down. This is a more casual look paired with a chambray shirt and wedges. Skirt (Express) was a gift, polka dot chambray shirt (Walmart) $5, pineapple necklace (H&M) $5.

Thanks, Lacey, for being here and sharing your words and beautiful outfits!
